Digital Lobby ("we", "us", "our") operates the mobile application Flight Velocity (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App processes, why it is processed, which third-party services are used, and what choices you have. It applies to the Android and iOS versions of the App.
Flight Velocity uses your device's location services to provide flight-related information such as ground speed, altitude, vertical speed and GPS-based heading.
GPS data is processed primarily on your device to power the live flight instruments. Flight Velocity does not operate its own backend for storing or tracking your live GPS route, and raw GPS coordinates are not uploaded to Digital Lobby servers.
On Android, location tracking may continue through a foreground location service while a flight session is active, including when the App is temporarily in the background.
Flight Velocity uses supported motion and orientation sensors on your device, including the accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer, to provide features such as:
Raw motion and orientation sensor readings are processed on-device in real time and are not uploaded to Digital Lobby servers.
The App may store derived flight information locally on your device, such as flight history, duration, distance, maximum speed, altitude, G-force values, achievements or similar statistics generated from a flight session.
This locally stored flight data is used to provide history and statistics inside the App. Raw GPS routes and raw motion sensor streams are not stored by Digital Lobby on external servers.
Third-party analytics and crash reporting services may process technical information such as:
This information is used to understand technical problems, improve compatibility and maintain the App.
Flight Velocity displays banner and interstitial advertising using Google AdMob.
Depending on your region, device settings and consent choices, Google may process information such as:
Flight Velocity does not provide your raw GPS coordinates to AdMob for advertising.
The App stores certain preferences locally on your device, including settings such as:
These preferences are generally removed when the App is uninstalled, subject to your device's backup and restore settings.
Flight Velocity uses third-party services that may process information according to their own privacy policies.
| Service | Purpose | Examples of data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Displaying and measuring advertisements | Advertising identifiers, device/app information, IP/network information, approximate location and ad interaction data |
| Firebase Analytics | App usage analytics and performance understanding | App events, device/app information and pseudonymous app instance identifiers |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Crash detection and diagnostics | Crash reports, stack traces, device model, OS version, app version and diagnostic identifiers |

Apple's Privacy Policy is available at: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
In regions where consent is required, Flight Velocity may use Google's consent management tools to request your privacy choices before personalized advertising or related advertising technologies are used.
Depending on your region, you may be able to choose between personalized and non-personalized advertising or manage other privacy choices made available by Google.
Where available, you may review or change your advertising privacy choices through the App's privacy settings or through privacy controls provided by your device and Google.
On iOS, access to Apple's advertising identifier may also be subject to Apple's App Tracking Transparency requirements and your device-level tracking preference.
Where the GDPR or similar data protection law applies, different legal bases may apply depending on the type of processing.
Depending on your country or region, you may have rights concerning personal data, including the right to:
Much of the flight-related information used by Flight Velocity is processed locally on your device and is not available to Digital Lobby. This may limit our ability to identify or retrieve specific locally stored data on your behalf.
For privacy-related requests, contact: info@digitallobby.de
Raw GPS coordinates and raw motion sensor readings used for live instruments are processed transiently and are not stored by Digital Lobby on its own servers.
Locally stored flight history and App preferences remain on your device until they are deleted through the App, removed as part of App data deletion, or affected by uninstall and device backup/restore behavior.
Data processed by Google AdMob, Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics is retained according to Google's applicable product settings, retention periods and privacy policies.
Third-party providers such as Google and Apple may process information in countries other than the country in which you live, including the United States.
Where required by applicable law, these providers use appropriate legal safeguards for international data transfers.
Flight Velocity is not specifically directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly request children to provide personal information directly to us.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information directly to Digital Lobby, please contact us at info@digitallobby.de.
We take reasonable measures to limit unnecessary data processing and rely on platform security protections and the security measures of the third-party services used by the App.
Flight-related GPS and motion sensor information is primarily processed locally on your device, reducing the amount of flight data transmitted externally.
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, third-party services or legal requirements change.
The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision.
